BBNaija2018: Nigerians react as fans of Teddy A plan to donate N45million

Evicted Big Brother Naija housemate Teddy A is back to Nigeria and is currently having his media tour.

Teddy A who returned to the country amidst jubilations from multitudes of fans who were on ground to welcome him is in the news again and this time- it is rumoured that fans has made plans of donating the sum of N45 million to compensate him for losing out in the game.

The report says his fans are planning to donate N5,000 each to make up the sum of N45million which is the grand prize for the winner of the show.

A Twitter account owner, Queen of Mean, with Twitter handle @H3rRoyalDopenez, had tweeted: “Awww, his fans are donating 5k each to make 45m for him. That’s so sweeeeet.”

But the amount that will be raised, based on Teddy A’s fan base is as controversial as the claim.

Trust Nigerians not to keep quiet to this. Read different responses we were able to gather below:

“the 5k wey them for use vote for am to collect 45mill.. it’s ok o. Goodluck to Teddy wit or without money he will surely get enough endorsements. There are pple who dont ve food to eat, suffering, u wan give person wey be celebrity n already who don blow.”

Others are of the opinion that it’s not a good idea at all:

“This is by far the most foolish thing I’ve heard or seen on Twitter. Donating money for someone who (if he’s smart) may end up being richer than all them. This is the height of misplaced priorities, and the youth will be making noise about how our politicians misuse funds.— Nonso Udechukwu”

“Abi o. Do we know how many millions of Naira people used to vote and it still didn’t count? If He was still in the house doesn’t mean He will win so its better the money for votes is given to him jare. Oyindamola Bamgbade (@OyindamolaBams).”

Others are of the view that his House lover, Bambam, who were both shown the exit door out of the Big Brother reality show should also have the same privilege:

“kai… naija .. so what about Bambam now??? Why must women always be kicked to the side in all these things? Toluwanimi (@mz_thoolu)”

"Bambam needs that money more than Teddy A .. she might be homeless as we speak, her parents and church ppl may have cancelled her.— Babaji (@_babajii)."
