Old school meets new school as Dolly Parton and Katy Perry both sang together

Dolly Parton and Katy Perry both sang a song together and it was an amazing performance at ACM Award night on Sunday 3rd of March. The old and country music icon Dolly Parton and the ever vibrant award winning Katy Perry took everyone by surprise when they came on stage both clad in Dolly Parton’s old-school attire to sing Dolly Parton’s biggest hit songs Jolene and ‘9 to 5’ and of course ‘Coat of Many colours’.

Dolly Parton and Katy Perry could start their own show and millions of people would love to watch them do their thing because both are forces to reckon with and putting heads together it would definitely be big.

Dolly Parton

Dolly Rebecca Parton (born January 19, 1946 is an American singer-songwriter, actress, author, businesswoman, and humanitarian, known primarily for her work in country music.

Parton is the most honored female country performer of all time. Achieving 25 RIAA certified gold, platinum, and multi-platinum awards, she has had 25 songs reach No. 1 on the Billboard Country charts, a record for a female artist. Katy Perry

Katheryn Elizabeth Hudson (born October 25, 1984), known professionally as Katy Perry, is an American singer, songwriter, and actress. After singing in church during her childhood, she pursued a career in gospel music as a teenager. Perry signed with Red Hill Records and released her debut studio album Katy Hudson in 2001, which was commercially unsuccessful. She moved to Los Angeles the following year to venture into secular music after Red Hill ceased operations. After being dropped by The Island Def Jam Music Group and Columbia Records, Perry signed a recording contract with Capitol Records in April 2007.

Perry rose to fame in 2008 with the release of the singles "I Kissed a Girl" – which sparked controversy for its homosexual themes.
