Miss Puerto Rico wins 2016 Miss World       

It’s was a competition filled with brain and beauty as  19-year-old Stephanie Del Valle, representing Puerto Rico won the 66th edition of the Miss World pageant which held on Sunday, 19th December, 2016.

The contest which was held in MGM National Habour, Oxon Hill, Maryland, USA  saw a total of 117 contestants from all over the world vied for the crown which Stephanie ultimately won

The first runner up was the Dominican Republic, Yaritza Miguelina Reyes Ramirez, was followed by Miss Indonesia, Natasha Mannuela. Miss Philipines and Miss Kenya also made it to the top five.

Stephanie who was filled with surprise was crowned by Miss World 2015, Mireia Lalaguna of Spain.  

This is the second time Puerto Rico is going home with the Miss World crown, the first time being in 1975 when Wilnelia Merced from Puerto Rico won the crown.

Congratulations Stephanie. You are indeed beautiful.
