FG declares Monday, Dec. 25, Tuesday, Dec. 26, Monday Jan.1 as public holidays

The Federal Government through the Minister of Interior, retired Lt.-Gen. Abdulralman Dambazau, has declared Monday, Dec. 25, Tuesday, Dec. 26 2017 and Monday, Jan. 1 2018 as public holidays for the celebrations  of Christmas, Boxing Day and New Year.

Dambazau made the declaration on behalf of the government through a statement issued by the Permanent Secretary in the ministry, Mr Abubakar Magaji.

He called on Christian faithful as well as all Nigerians to use the period to pray for continued growth and development of the country.

He also urged Nigerians to strengthen their resolve to maintain the country’s peace and unity.

The minister however beckoned on all citizens, both at home and abroad, to support the administration of President Muhammadu Buhari in its determination to improve the quality of life of the citizens.

He finally wished everyone happy Christmas and New Year celebrations.

And this is also wishing our readers a merry Christmas celebration and a prosperous new year.
