Leicester City confirm the signing of Wilfred Ndidi from Genk

Struggling defending champions, ‘Leicester City’ have confirmed the signing of Genk defensive midfielder, ‘Wilfred Ndidi’ for a fee reported to be around £15m.

The 20-year old Nigerian signs a five year deal that will keep him at the ‘King Power Stadium’ until 2022. Ndidi who spoke with the club's TV Channel said;

"I feel I can learn a lot here, I try to win the balls for the team - that is one of my main attributes. I have to achieve a lot here".

Leicester City manager, Claudio Ranieri expressed his delight at completing the signing, labeling Ndidi as a player with a very bright future.

He said;

"He's an impressive player with a big future".

Leicester City will be hopeful Ndidi can strengthen the club's midfield which has been experiencing some lapses since the departure of French midfielder, Ngolo Kante.

The defending champions are currently placed fifteenth (15th) in the English Premier League with six-points separating them from the relegation zone.
