Serena Williams denies rumor started by her sister, Venus Williams that she is having a baby girl

Pregnant tennis superstar, Serena Williams has taken to her social media page to debunk the rumor started by her sister (Venus Williams) that she is expecting a baby girl.

According to her, she jokes with her sisters to get favors from them, also stating that she and her fiancé don’t even know the sex of their baby yet.

Here’s what she wrote;

“I think the surprise of knowing what you are going to have on that very special day you give birth is probably the best surprise you can ever have. So to clarify what Venus said, I am always joking with my sisers to see what favors I  can get them to do for me next".

"If I want something from one of my sisters, I say baby Venus, baby Lyn or baby Isha needs it. I did not grow up with any brothers, only sisters, and we all say ‘she’ more than ‘he’. Unless I am joking with my Dad or Alexis, and I’m trying to con something out of them too".

"Hey, I’m the youngest of 5, I’ve always tricked all of them, what can I say!”

Yesterday, Venus talked about the excitement of becoming an aunt while referring to Serena’s unborn baby as a “she”.

The tennis star made this statement during a post-match interview at the French Open while speaking to Eurosport presenter. A giggling Venus said;

“She is going to call me favourite aunt.”

Seconds later, news went viral that Serena is expecting a baby girl.

However, in a cheerful tweet, Serena made clarifications on what her elder sister Venus meant when she used the “she” pronoun to describe her unborn child.
